Keane and his lemon

Dan's grandma, afraid that we would never have children because we weren't "nesting", bought us two trees last spring. One is a lemon tree and the other is an orange tree. About the time I got pregnant with Keane, our lemon tree had sprouted a little bundle of joy too! After one of our first ultrasounds of our little wiggly gummy bear (that is exactly what Keane looked like then) we got home and noticed our little lemon and realized it was the same size as our little Keane! We kept measuring the baby lemon and comparing it to the size our baby was supposed to be and for most of the first trimester they were the same size each week! Obviously by the end, Keane ended up being much, much bigger!

Keane's lemon finally got so ripe, we had to pick it last week. We thought it was only fitting that it be the first lemon that Keane ever tasted. He wasn't too impressed, but I think the photo speaks for itself!

That is pretty cool. Good thing Keane was bigger than the lemon! Looks like he like it!
